Detroit Autorama 2019

Although this show has been going for over 50 years, every year there is something new to see. The car designs and styles may change but the overall craftmanship and quality are timeless. From the all new, never seen before cars vying for the famed ‘Ridler Award’ to the numerous muscle cars, racers, hot rods, customs, vintage classics, all under one giant roof and on two floors, there is something for everyone.
This year there were some very interesting race cars and a very neat display from Waterford Hills Raceway. The variety of race cars included a McLaren, an LMP Honda, Renault and Ford Escort road racers.
There were several cars from Canada such as Gary Weldon’s ’28 Ford Bonneville racer, Dave Jolly’s ’38 Lincoln Zephyr custom, and a ‘ full custom 64 Acadian that Danny and Sandy Jadresko brought from Victoria, B.C.
This show never disappoints as there are more than 600 cars on display as well as dozens of performance and parts manufacturers, a display of Burt Reynolds movie memorabilia and much more.
