Lovin’ the new Porsche GT3? You can thank Andreas Preuninger
Listening to car people—true, died-in-the-wool gearheads—is always a treat. They regard cars with a passion that you just can’t see if you’re an A to B-er, if to you, a car is an appliance. They know that there’s something more to a car, something that takes a car—and it can be any car, not necessarily a hi-po Porsche as seen here—out of the realm of the everyday and into that of art, or mechanical genius et cetera.
Andreas Preuninger, head of Porsche GT Cars, is obviously a gearhead; you don’t man the tiller of a group that develops 475 hp and 324 lb-ft road racers with four-wheel steering without having a few screws loose and a deep-seeded passion for fast cars.
I mean, just have a look at the video, courtesy of Porsche’s YouTube channel, and listen to the man.
